Journalists also discussed infrastructure projects in the cocoa and renewable energy sectors. A presentation on managing the West African coastline and the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) sparked significant interest among participants.
The session included a meeting between the UEMOA Commission President, Abdoulaye Diop, and the Platform Médias UEMOA. Diop reaffirmed his support for the initiative and emphasized the crucial role of media in disseminating the Commission's vision to the public. The Platform Médias UEMOA announced plans to organize a UEMOA Day in each member state and revitalize its activities within the community.
