The Egyptian Meteorological Authority has issued a detailed weather forecast for the next five days, starting from Sunday, October 4, to Thursday, October 8, 2026. The forecast indicates that Egypt will experience a moderate autumnal morning, hot daytime temperatures in most areas, and extremely hot conditions in southern regions. Nighttime temperatures are expected to be mild.

The Meteorological Authority has warned citizens about several significant weather phenomena during this period. A water mist, or fog, is expected to form between 4 and 8 am on some roads leading to and from northern Egypt, reaching as far as Greater Cairo, canal cities, central Sinai, and northern Upper Egypt. Drivers are advised to exercise caution and reduce speed.

There is a chance of light to moderate rain in various areas of northern coastal governorates and northern parts of the Lower Egypt region, occurring intermittently. Additionally, winds are expected to pick up in most areas, providing relief from the heat in shaded areas and at night. However, these winds may also stir up sand and dust in southern Upper Egypt.

The forecast indicates significant temperature variations across different regions. Northern coastal areas are expected to experience the mildest weather, with daytime temperatures ranging from 25 to 26 degrees Celsius and nighttime temperatures around 19 degrees. In contrast, southern regions will face much higher temperatures.

In Greater Cairo and the Lower Egypt region, daytime temperatures are expected to range from 29 to 30 degrees Celsius, while nighttime temperatures will range from 19 to 20 degrees. Northern Upper Egypt will see daytime temperatures between 30 and 31 degrees and nighttime temperatures around 18 degrees.

Southern Upper Egypt is forecast to experience the highest temperatures, with daytime temperatures reaching 37 degrees Celsius and rising to 38 degrees on Thursday. Nighttime temperatures in this region will range from 23 degrees. The Meteorological Authority has urged citizens to take necessary precautions to mitigate the effects of these weather conditions.

The Meteorological Authority has called on citizens to stay informed about the latest weather updates and to take all necessary measures to prepare for these weather phenomena. By staying vigilant and taking precautions, Egyptians can minimize the impact of the unstable weather conditions expected over the next few days.
