The manager will control project schedules, budgets, risks, and changes, taking corrective action when necessary. Coordination of engineers, site teams, suppliers, and subcontractors against agreed project requirements will also be a key responsibility.
The ideal candidate for the position will have a degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering, or an equivalent relevant to Breyta Engineering's services. A project management qualification and experience in complex mechanical and civil engineering projects would be advantageous. The candidate should have at least eight years of relevant engineering experience, including at least three years in a management role.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience leading operational teams and delivering engineering projects from planning to completion. Sound knowledge of technical review, project planning, budgeting, cost control, and resource management is required. Experience managing suppliers, subcontractors, and client requirements, as well as strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, are also essential.
Proficiency in CAD software, spreadsheets, and relevant planning, reporting, and engineering tools is necessary. Fully paid EIZ certification R.Eng is required for the duties of the role. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining health, safety, environmental, and quality standards, managing client communication, and reporting operational and financial performance to company leadership.
