Verve, a payment card and tokens brand operated by Interswitch, has announced a partnership with Truecaller for the ninth edition of VerveLife, themed “Ignite”. The partnership combines fitness, wellness, entertainment, technology, and community engagement. This year's event has already held activities in Ikorodu, Ibadan, and Enugu, with further events scheduled for Surulere and Uyo before the finale in Lagos.

Cherry Eromosele, Executive Vice President, Group Marketing and Communications, Interswitch Group, stated that the partnership would add a technology dimension to this year’s event. She mentioned that VerveLife had evolved beyond a conventional fitness event to incorporate broader lifestyle and community experiences. Eromosele emphasized that VerveLife aims to create experiences that connect with people beyond traditional fitness event boundaries.

The partnership with Truecaller will support VerveLife's focus on bringing together technology, lifestyle, wellness, and community. Ogochukwu Onwuzurike, Country Manager, Nigeria, Truecaller, expressed pleasure in partnering with VerveLife 9.0 to connect with a community interested in active living and shared experiences. Onwuzurike noted that Truecaller values active living, shared experiences, and meaningful connections.

The 2026 VerveLife program will culminate in Lagos with a two-day event scheduled for November 20 and 21. The first day will feature a “Train the Trainer” session and an industry-focused mixer. The second day will include fitness activities, an obstacle course, masterclasses, and a children’s corner, alongside appearances by fitness personalities and trainers.

The program will conclude with an evening after-party. The ninth edition also includes the “Road to VerveLife 9 Stage” pan-African competition, open to fitness trainers, dance instructors, aerobics coaches, yoga and Pilates instructors, and other fitness enthusiasts. The competition aims to provide participants with an opportunity to secure a place on the VerveLife stage.

The partnership with Truecaller comes as the 2026 edition builds towards its Lagos finale, following activities held in different parts of the country. VerveLife has expanded its activities across several Nigerian cities, reflecting its growth beyond a conventional fitness event. The event's organizers reported that it has already engaged communities in Ikorodu, Ibadan, and Enugu.
