These projects are part of a broader effort to enhance the region's infrastructure and promote economic development.
In addition to the ongoing projects, 13 national projects are currently in the study phase, covering a total length of 204.05 kilometers. These projects involve the construction of highways and numbered roads, as well as bridges. The governorate is also working on several other initiatives, including the development of rural roads and the implementation of maintenance projects.
The meeting also discussed the challenges facing the implementation of these projects and potential solutions to address them. Participants reviewed the progress of 18 projects that have been delegated or allocated, covering a total length of 79.6 kilometers and costing 22.5 million dinars. These projects include maintenance works and other initiatives aimed at improving the region's infrastructure.
The Siliana governorate is working with various stakeholders, including the regional council, the regional development agency, and local municipalities, to implement these projects. For example, the regional council has launched 32 projects covering 126 kilometers of roads at a cost of 46 million dinars. The regional development agency is also implementing several projects, including four initiatives covering 45.3 kilometers of roads at a cost of 13.9 million dinars.
The governorate has also made progress in bridge construction, with six bridges completed on the numbered road network at a cost of 18.754 million dinars. The meeting concluded with a discussion of the next steps and the importance of continued collaboration among stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of these projects and the development of the region's infrastructure.
