Tunisia's date exports have achieved a significant milestone, surpassing 1 billion dinars for the first time during the 2025-2026 season. The total value of date exports reached over 1,000 million dinars, up from approximately 830 million dinars in the previous season. The quantity of dates exported also saw a notable increase, rising to around 160,000 tons from 125,000 tons in the 2024-2025 season. Tunisia's date exports are not only growing in traditional markets but also expanding into new regions, particularly in Asia and the Americas. The country exported around 6,000 tons to India, nearly 6,000 tons to the United States, 7,000 tons to Turkey, and 5,000 tons to Malaysia. New markets, including Estonia, Cambodia, Cyprus, Sri Lanka, Jordan, and Belarus, have also emerged as destinations for Tunisian dates.
