At Orchestra Safari Sound, Nkomba served under several band leaders, including Israel Mbombo wa Mbombo Kamunebu, Kikumbi Mwanza Mpango (King Kiki), and Freddy Ndala Kasheba. He was part of the band until around 1985 when he left Tanzania for Europe. During his time with OSS, Nkomba composed popular songs such as 'Marie Jose' (1978), also known as 'Mwaka wa Watoto,' and 'Marcele Marjorie.'

Nkomba also lent his vocals to hit songs like 'Marashi ya Pemba' and 'Dunia Msongamano.' Before joining Dekula Band, he was part of the Black Rhino Band of Sweden and Makaya Band, also based in Sweden. His music legacy is a testament to his talent and dedication to his craft.
