Tanzanian bodybuilder Ahmed Omar Ibrahim is set to take on Africa's leading athletes at the BodyFuel Fitness Championship in Nairobi, Kenya, on October 10. Ibrahim will compete in the Classic Physique category in the 68-kilogramme lightweight class. The competition, to be held at Sarit Centre, is expected to attract about 500 competitors from over 15 African countries. This will be Ibrahim's second competitive appearance in Kenya, following his win of the Mr Zanzibar 2025 title.

Ibrahim, an 11-year bodybuilding veteran, previously competed in an event in Mombasa, where he delivered a strong performance. He will be accompanied by his coach, Rashas Mohamed Saidi. Fellow Tanzanians Nasir Idarus Shekh and Nassoro Idarus Shekh, twins, will also compete in the Men's Physique category. Ibrahim aims to build on his previous experience and has prepared well for the competition. He is determined to make a strong impression in Nairobi.

The BodyFuel Fitness Championship will feature various categories, including Overall Bodybuilding, Men's Physique, Classic Physique, and several weight categories. A Masters Men's category will also be part of the competition. Organisers have announced a prize pool of over KSh2 million, with the winner of the Overall Bodybuilding category set to receive KSh400,000. This significant prize pool is expected to attract top talent from across Africa.

American bodybuilder Brandon Hendrickson, a three-time Men's Physique Olympia champion and two-time Arnold Classic Men's Physique champion, will make an appearance at the competition. His presence is expected to add international attention to the event and provide participating athletes with an opportunity to share the stage with one of the sport's established names. Ibrahim is eager to compete against Hendrickson and other top athletes.
