A press conference was held on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at the City of Culture in Tunis, to discuss the 11th edition of Carthage Music Days. The event will take place from October 3-10, 2026, and will feature 26 selected performances, including eight major concerts, six professional meetings, and four shows in prisons and one in a rehabilitation center. The festival will also host guests from 15 countries.
The artistic director of Carthage Music Days, Mondher Fallah, highlighted that 60% of the selected performances will be Tunisian, with a focus on creating a balance between male and female artists. He emphasized that the current trend is to make the festival a Mediterranean meeting point, not just a competition, but a comprehensive and continuous network where artists, producers, programmers, and institutions build lasting relationships.
The festival will feature performances by various artists, including "Oum" from Morocco, "Jadal" from Jordan, Fayrouz Younan from Syria, and Vipa-Obos from Tunisia. Other performers include Cecelia Krol from Spain, Les dames du Rai from Algeria and France, and Labess - Dima Libre from Algeria and Canada. The festival will also include a workshop and a training session for young artists.
The professional meetings will focus on topics such as the profession of film music composer, artificial intelligence and music, and the young artist in festival programming. The meetings will be attended by specialists in the field. Additionally, the festival will host a training session for jazz musicians, in partnership with Marseille Jazz Collective.
