Ghanaian lawmaker Kojo Oppong Nkrumah has congratulated the newly elected national executives of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) on their success during the delegates' conference in Kumasi on Saturday, October 3, 2026. Justin Kodua Frimpong was reelected as General Secretary of the NPP, securing victory with 4486 votes in the internal election. Other notable elections include Abanga Fuseini Yakubu as National Youth Organiser, who polled 1550 votes to defeat five other aspirants.

The elections for the national youth organiser position saw intense competition, with Alfred Kumi Ababio polling 25 votes, Vera Oye Bram-Larbi 44 votes, Michael Osei Boateng 78 votes, Clement Opoku Gyamfi 631 votes, and Chris Lloyd Nii Kwei Asamoah polling 46 votes. The elections took place at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi on Saturday, October 3, 2026.

Former Member of Parliament for Ngleshie Amanfro, Sylvester Tetteh, polled 1340 votes in the General Secretary election, while Eugene Boakye Antwi had 162 votes and Dr Charles Dwamena polled 126 votes. Justin Kodua Frimpong's reelection as General Secretary was a highlight of the conference.

Speaking on behalf of the newly elected executives, John Boadu mentioned that their task is to build a renewed NPP, one that listens and consults more. The party aims to work closely with all branches and stakeholders to achieve their goals.
