Mbabane Swallows have strengthened their squad with the addition of three players from Nsingizini Hotspurs in a season-long arrangement. The players, Mvuselelo Mthethwa, Sandziso Masuku, and Thobani Kunene, join the Birds as they prepare for a demanding campaign. This move is part of the partnership between the two clubs, aimed at providing the players with regular football and development opportunities.

Nsingizini Hotspurs' PRO, Sibusiso 'Mnotfo' Dlamini, confirmed the agreement, stating that the players will join Mbabane Swallows for one season. The deal allows the players to improve their game and gain experience, with potential future opportunities arising from the partnership between the clubs. Dlamini emphasized that the players have not been released permanently.

Mvuselelo Mthethwa, one of the new signings, is a familiar name in Eswatini football. He was named Nsingizini's Rookie of the Year for the 2024/25 season and made significant contributions to the team, including a stoppage-time winner against Rangers in January 2025. Mthethwa also scored against Manzini Sea Birds in the final match of the 2025/26 season, helping Nsingizini secure the MTN Premier League championship.

Sandziso Masuku, an attacking midfielder, joined Nsingizini from Red Rhinos during the January 2026 transfer window. He has been described as a player capable of scoring and creating chances. Masuku started against Zimbabwean side Scottland in the CAF Champions League second leg at Somhlolo National Stadium in September.

Thobani Kunene, a left winger, adds experience to the Mbabane Swallows squad. His last listed club before joining Nsingizini was Summerfield Dynamos FC. The trio's arrival comes at a crucial time for Swallows, who have had to navigate a depleted squad due to the call-ups of three players to the national Under-23 side.

Swallows' PRO, Knowledge Ngwenya, had previously indicated that the club would seek guidance from the Premier League of Eswatini (PLE) regarding their fixture affected by the national team call-ups. The new signings could be available for selection over the weekend, subject to final approval from the club's board of trustees.

The temporary additions of Mthethwa, Masuku, and Kunene provide both numbers and experience to the Swallows squad, addressing concerns about squad depth. This move is expected to bolster the team's chances in the upcoming matches.
