Mayfair Insurance Company Uganda Ltd, a general insurance provider regulated by the Insurance Regulatory Authority of Uganda, is seeking a Business Development Officer-Bancassurance. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong partnerships with partner banks and their branch networks. Mayfair Insurance has been operating in Uganda since November 2018 and is part of a network of Mayfair insurance companies across the region, including Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, DR Congo, and Rwanda. The company's head office is located at Plot 56, Lugogo bypass, Lohana Tower D, 7th Floor in Kampala.
The Business Development Officer-Bancassurance will play a key role in driving business growth through the bancassurance channel. The officer will identify sales opportunities, ensure the achievement of premium growth, profitability, and customer service objectives. The role involves developing and implementing initiatives to increase business volumes and market share. The officer will also be responsible for training and coaching bank staff on insurance products, sales techniques, and customer engagement.
The ideal candidate for the position should have a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Insurance, Finance, or a related field. A professional diploma or qualification in Insurance, such as ACII, AIIK, or CII, is an added advantage. The candidate should have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in insurance sales, bancassurance, business development, or a related field. Proven experience in developing and managing strategic partnerships and distribution channels is required.
The Business Development Officer-Bancassurance will be responsible for managing relationships with partner banks and their branch networks. The officer will act as the primary point of contact for assigned bank branches on insurance matters and conduct regular branch visits to strengthen partnerships and drive business growth. The role involves supporting bank staff in identifying and converting insurance opportunities.
The successful candidate will be expected to drive the achievement of premium income and new business targets through the bancassurance channel. The officer will identify opportunities to increase insurance penetration within assigned bank branches and promote insurance products and solutions to bank customers through the branch network.
Mayfair Insurance Company Uganda Ltd is looking for a candidate with strong skills in bancassurance relationship management, business development and sales management, insurance product knowledge, and channel performance management. The candidate should also have excellent customer relationship management, sales coaching, and training skills.
