He mentioned that the contract with the company operating the Akjoujt copper mine was renewed about a year ago, with improved conditions aligned with the new Mining Code.
President Ghazouani also addressed the issue of water supply in Akjoujt, instructing the Minister of Hydraulic and Sanitation to initiate a project to provide the city with a reliable water supply. He requested the Prime Minister to mobilize the necessary financial resources and include the project in the 2027 budget.
