The President also reviewed the achievements of the first phase, which included the construction of 1,335 classrooms, 18 health centers, and improvements in water and sanitation services.
The first phase of the PUDN, executed over 16 months, cost 69 billion ouguiyas (MRO) and covered several essential sectors. The education sector saw 100% completion, with 1,335 classrooms built. In the health sector, 18 out of 28 health centers were completed, with five more expected to be finished within a month. The water and sanitation sector also achieved 100% completion in projects related to potable water supply and drainage of stagnant water.
The second phase of the PUDN will be executed over 16 months, with a budget of 115 billion ouguiyas (MRO). This phase aims to consolidate gains and expand interventions in development, integrating new projects that address population needs and reinforce modernization ambitions for the capital. The education sector will focus on increasing school capacity, while the health sector will emphasize specialized medicine and emergency care.
The second phase of the plan also includes extending water and sanitation networks, ensuring stormwater drainage, and consolidating electricity and public lighting.
