Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, who is the Presidential Candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), has appointed former Minister of State for Aviation, Hon. Felix Hassan Hyat, as Director-General of the National Campaign Management Committee (NCMC) of the Makinde/Daura Presidential Campaign Organisation. This appointment was announced by Anthony Ehilebo, Special Adviser on Media and Digital Communication to the APM presidential candidate.
Hyat, a former Kaduna State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), is expected to lead the campaign’s nationwide mobilisation and efforts to promote the “Reset Nigeria” agenda ahead of the 2027 presidential election. He will be assisted by a former Minister of Women Affairs, Hajia Inna Ciroma, as Deputy Director-General, Administration, and Hon. Dr. Anthony Aziegbemi as Deputy Director-General, Operations.
The appointments are designed to bring together experienced political actors with backgrounds in strategy, administration, mobilisation, and grassroots engagement. According to the statement, Hyat’s extensive public service experience and political network, alongside the experience of Ciroma and Aziegbemi, would strengthen the campaign’s organisational structure and nationwide engagement.
The campaign leadership is expected to work with the APM National Leader and Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Mohammed; the National Chairman of the party, Yusuf Mamman Dantalle; and other party leaders to coordinate the campaign across the country. This team will be crucial in ensuring a well-organised and effective campaign.
In addition to the appointments of Hyat, Ciroma, and Aziegbemi, Makinde also approved the appointment of directors to oversee key areas of the organisation. Those appointed include Alhaji Hamza Akuyam Koshe as Director of Contact and Mobilisation; Barrister Mark Jacob as Director of Legal and Compliance; Dr Ade Adeagbo as Director of Administration and Strategy; and Hon. Richard Ihediwa as Director of Strategic Communications.
Other appointments include Alhaji Yusuf Ismaila Alkali, Director of Finance; Dr Emmanuel Dennis, Director of Volunteers, Special Interests and Support Groups; Alhaji Suleiman Hussaini Kankia, Director of Security and Intelligence; and Hon. Mrs Toyin Balogun, Director of Women Coordination. The campaign also appointed Alhaji Umar Bida Ndabrama as Director of Monitoring, Evaluation, Reporting and Documentation; Comrade Armstrong Adah as Director of Youth Coordination; and Adeyemi Moyegun as Director of Organisation and Coordination.
Makinde has urged APM members, supporters, and Nigerians who identify with the “Reset Nigeria” vision to remain committed to the campaign and work collectively towards the 2027 general elections. The campaign organisation said additional appointments would be announced in due course.
