The Algerian authorities have launched several development projects in the province of Mila, including the renovation of a local stadium and the initiation of water supply projects. The projects were launched during celebrations marking the 72nd anniversary of the outbreak of the Algerian War of Independence on November 1, 1954. The events were attended by local officials, including the province's governor, Faisal Amroush.

The water supply projects aim to provide clean drinking water to four areas in the province, namely Chaqlibi Makhloof, Al-Wasaf, Boulfrakh, and Al-Badsi. The projects, which have a budget of approximately 6 billion centimes, are expected to be completed within 12 months. The initiative seeks to improve the water supply to residents in these areas and increase storage capacity.

In addition to the water supply projects, the local authorities also inaugurated the renovated municipal stadium, Shahidayn Muhammad and Al-Tayyib Namus, in the town of Hamala. The stadium underwent renovation and refurbishment, which included the installation of artificial turf, construction of stands, and provision of changing rooms and referee rooms. The renovation aimed to provide better facilities for local sports teams.

The municipal council of Hamala allocated significant funds for the renovation of the stadium as part of its development programs for 2024, 2025, and 2026. Furthermore, a new sports field was constructed in Hamala as part of the 2026 economic and social development program.

During the same celebrations, the local authorities also inaugurated a medical laboratory in the province's social activity center. The laboratory is expected to provide medical testing services to residents. Additionally, the governor of Mila province honored two veterans, Zghoud Mahmoud, son of martyr Ali Zghoud, and Qatich Bashir, a member of the National Liberation Army.

The honored veterans were recognized for their contributions to the country's struggle for independence. The governor and local officials attended the ceremony, which acknowledged the sacrifices made by the veterans. The events marked an important milestone in the province's celebrations of the 72nd anniversary of the Algerian War of Independence.
