South African football giants Kaizer Chiefs have announced plans to invite young female footballers from Eswatini to train with their ladies team. The team's Group Chief Executive Officer, Bheki Shongwe, revealed this during a visit by top-performing players from the KFC Scara Thindwa Soccer Foundation. The initiative aims to provide opportunities for talented Eswatini players to develop their skills.

The Kaizer Chiefs Ladies team has made a significant impact in their first season in the Hollywoodbets Super League, finishing third behind champions Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies and runners-up JVW FC. Shongwe expressed his enthusiasm for inviting young girls from Eswatini to train with the team, highlighting the club's top-class facilities. The proposed training program could last for a week.

Kaizer Chiefs is also planning to construct a hostel to house the ladies' team within their training village at Naturena. This move follows an incident where one of the players was attacked on her way to training. The club's founder and Chairman, Dr. Kaizer 'Chincha Guluva' Motaung, encouraged the youngsters to pursue their dreams with discipline and determination.

During their visit, the KFC Scara Thindwa Soccer Foundation players, accompanied by their teachers and KFC Eswatini CEO Nigel England, were given a tour of the Naturena Village. On Saturday, they watched the Soweto derby at the FNB Stadium, where Orlando Pirates defeated Kaizer Chiefs 2-1. The youngsters also presented Motaung with a belated birthday cake, as he celebrated his 82nd birthday on October 16.

The KFC Scara Thindwa Soccer Foundation was represented by three players, two boys and a girl, who were recognized for their outstanding performance. The foundation's founder, Absalom 'Scara' Thindwa, a legendary Kaizer Chiefs striker, was present during the visit. The initiative aims to provide opportunities for young players to develop their skills and potentially join top teams like Kaizer Chiefs.

Kaizer Chiefs' efforts to promote women's football in Eswatini and provide opportunities for young players have been welcomed by football enthusiasts. The team's plans to construct a hostel and invite Eswatini players for training demonstrate their commitment to developing women's football in the region.

The visit by the KFC Scara Thindwa Soccer Foundation players to Kaizer Chiefs' training facilities highlights the potential for collaboration between Eswatini and South African football teams.
