A member of the House of Representatives representing Bichi Federal Constituency of Kano, Hon. Abubakar Kabir Bichi, has been commended for his efforts in promoting educational growth and human capital development in his constituency. According to Kano state Commissioner for Livestock Development, Dr. Aliyu Isa Aliyu, Bichi's interventions in various sectors have touched thousands of lives in Bichi and beyond. One of Bichi's notable achievements is the funding of a postgraduate scholarship programme, which has benefited about 122 students studying at various universities, including recipients of international scholarships. Dr. Aliyu emphasized that the true value of leadership is sometimes found not only in visible projects but also in the people whose lives have changed because someone gave them an opportunity. He recently witnessed the launch of the fourth batch of Bichi's postgraduate scholarship programme, which further demonstrated the lawmaker's commitment to education and human capital development.
Among Bichi's ambitious plans is the vision for a Bichi Industrial City, with hundreds of hectares of land reserved to attract industries, businesses, and investment. This project is complemented by major electricity and water infrastructure, as well as the development of a mega stadium and a housing estate comprising about 2,000 homes. These initiatives aim to create a thriving industrial and economic hub in the constituency.
Dr. Aliyu concluded that success should not only be measured by wealth accumulated, titles acquired, or positions occupied, but also by lives improved and opportunities created. For Hon.
