Fraternité Matin, a public service press group, and the Haute autorité pour la bonne gouvernance (Habg), a national institution for good governance, have formalized an alliance to strengthen the promotion of good governance in Côte d'Ivoire. The partnership was signed on September 30, 2026, in Cocody, and aims to increase the visibility of Habg's messages and actions through Fraternité Matin's recognized credibility and national reach.

The partnership seeks to ensure a regular, structured, and educational dissemination of Habg's actions, contributing to a better understanding by citizens of the challenges of good governance and the fight against corruption. According to the director of communication and press of Habg, this partnership is a major lever to support Habg in accomplishing its mission to strengthen public integrity.

Épiphane Zoro Bi Ballo, president of Habg, emphasized that the partnership is based on the conviction that good governance needs strong institutions, and strong institutions need informed citizens. He also highlighted the importance of reliable, accessible, and intelligible information in promoting good governance. Zoro Bi Ballo expressed his conviction that an institution can accomplish many things, but if its actions are not well communicated, they may remain unknown to the public.

Serge Abdel Nouho, director-general of Fraternité Matin, noted that the partnership reflects a shared conviction that the quality of information contributes to the quality of governance. He emphasized that Fraternité Matin's expertise in information and communication, combined with Habg's expertise in fighting corruption, can produce a greater impact.

The partnership is part of Habg's strategic plan for 2024-2026, which prioritizes strengthening internal and external communication. Fraternité Matin's transformation into a media group with a range of platforms, including print, online, mobile applications, web television, radio, and multimedia studio, will enable effective information, sensitization, and outreach to different publics.

The partnership between Fraternité Matin and Habg demonstrates a shared commitment to promoting good governance and fighting corruption in Côte d'Ivoire. The two institutions have pledged to work together to support the government's efforts to promote transparency, prevention, and good governance.

The signing of the partnership agreement was followed by an exchange of gifts between the president of Habg and the director-general of Fraternité Matin, in the presence of members of the Habg council, cabinet, and collaborators.
