The Fund for Agricultural Development Support (FADA) has launched a working mission to Lunda Sul and Moxico provinces to promote financing solutions, monitor supported projects, and identify new investment opportunities in the agricultural sector. The mission, led by Araújo Sepalanga, manager of the North Regional Agency (ARN), started on September 24 and aims to bring the institution closer to producers and assess the execution of provided financing.
In Lunda Sul, the FADA team met with the Provincial Government and visited projects of farmers and cooperatives, including initiatives that had submitted financing requests to FADA. The team also visited the Moxico province, where they were received by Wilson Agnelo Chinhama Augusto, the vice-governor for Technical Services and Infrastructure, on behalf of the provincial governor.
During their visit to Moxico, the FADA delegation met with representatives of the Integrated Economic Development Office and the Office of Agriculture, Livestock, and Fisheries to discuss institutional coordination and identify opportunities to boost agricultural activity in the province. A workshop was also held with local producers to present FADA's financing solutions, eligibility criteria, and procedures for accessing credit.
The workshop allowed participants to learn about the technical sheets of different financial products and clarify doubts directly with the FADA team, particularly regarding conditions and requirements for obtaining financing. The mission also includes visits to producers who have already benefited from FADA credit to monitor project execution, verify the application of available resources, and identify challenges faced by beneficiaries.
By strengthening its presence in Lunda Sul and Moxico, FADA aims to improve project monitoring and proximity to producers and local institutions, contributing to the sustainability of investments and agricultural development in the two provinces. This initiative is part of FADA's efforts to support the growth of the agricultural sector in Angola.
