Chief Jerry Onuokaibe, CEO of First Choice Afro Villa Ltd and Mburubu Construction Company, and Chief Chidera Eze, popularly known as Ubiego 1 of Enugu State, have urged Enugu youths to support Governor Peter Mbah's bid for re-election in 2027. They made the call at the Enugu Skill Fest 2026, organised by the Youth Awakening and Development Initiative (YADI) at the International Conference Centre, Enugu. The event aimed to equip young people with practical, digital, and entrepreneurial skills.

Onuokaibe commended Governor Mbah for his commitment to youth development through various programmes and policies. These initiatives include the Mbah Youth Technical Empowerment Programme (MYTEP), Enugu Youth Enterprise Launchpad (EYEL), digital skills and innovation programmes, and skills acquisition programmes. He encouraged youths to take advantage of these opportunities to develop their skills, create jobs, and improve their livelihoods.

Onuokaibe also praised Governor Mbah for his infrastructural development, particularly road construction in his community. He noted that it was the first time since the existence of the community that a government was constructing its roads. Onuokaibe described Governor Mbah as "the best man for the job" and urged youths to support his re-election.

Ubiego, CEO of Artistry Fort Limited Company, praised Governor Mbah's vision for the state, particularly his focus on youths. He described the potential benefits of this vision as "multigenerational". Ubiego pledged to mobilise support for Governor Mbah's re-election and promised to employ some trainees from the skill fest in his company.

Ubiego attributed his progress to consistency and commitment to his vision. He noted that Enugu youths were creative and industrious but needed sustained training and mentorship to maximise their potential. He added that practical experience and employment were essential to sustainable youth development.

YADI Executive Director, Comrade Timothy Nnamani, said the organisation was focused on skills development, entrepreneurship, leadership development, and youth empowerment. He noted that the skill fest was part of YADI's efforts to help skilled and innovative youths in the state advance their careers and contribute to economic development.
