The Egyptian Parliament's Youth and Sports Committee, led by MP Mohamed Majahid, has recommended an on-site visit to El Beheira governorate to inspect youth and sports facilities. The visit aims to identify problems and develop suitable solutions in coordination with executive officials. This decision was made during a committee meeting to discuss requests for information submitted by El Beheira governorate's MPs.

The committee meeting was attended by several high-ranking officials, including Mohamed Diab, advisor to the minister, and Brigadier General Ismail Al-Far, assistant minister for youth affairs. Also in attendance were ministry leaders and El Beheira's youth directorate officials. The committee discussed several requests, including one by MP Mahmoud Rashad Mousa Habib regarding the renovation of sports fields in several youth centers.

The committee reviewed the condition of sports fields in youth centers in El Beheira's Abu Homs district. According to Dr. Ayman Al-Gamal, director of El Beheira's youth directorate, the fields have been in disrepair for over 12 years. The directorate has contacted the ministry to include the fields in the renovation plan. The committee also examined a request by MP Mahmoud Adel Shalan regarding reduced support for youth centers in Kafr El Dawwar.

El Beheira's youth directorate manages 51 centers, 43 of which have been developed as part of the "Hayat Karima" initiative. However, eight centers face obstacles, including lack of allocated land or location outside urban areas. The directorate reported an annual investment return of EGP 2.47 million from Kafr El Dawwar centers, while EGP 172,000 in support was provided to 27 centers.

The committee concluded its discussions with two requests by MP Ahmed Al-Arjawy regarding youth centers in Abu Homs city and Al-Ghaba. The directorate emphasized the need to transfer land ownership from the Agricultural Reform Authority to the Youth and Sports Ministry to obtain licenses. The MP requested activation of El Beheira governor's letter to include Abu Homs in the "Hayat Karima" initiative and transfer of authority to resolve the crisis.

The on-site visit aims to assess the conditions of youth centers and sports facilities in El Beheira governorate. Committee members will meet with local officials and stakeholders to discuss challenges and potential solutions. This initiative reflects the government's efforts to improve youth services and infrastructure across the country.

The Youth and Sports Committee's visit is expected to lead to recommendations for upgrading youth centers and sports facilities in El Beheira governorate. These upgrades are intended to provide better services and opportunities for young people. The committee's efforts align with the government's goals to enhance youth development and promote community engagement.
