Egyptian Investment and Foreign Trade Minister Dr. Mohamed Farid Saleh recently visited the Pure Life factory for micron filters and desalination plants in Damietta. The visit was part of his field tour in the governorate as part of the "Egypt Launches with Exports" initiative. During the visit, the company's CEO, Engineer Mohamed Sheikh, presented an overview of Pure Life's development since its establishment in 2014.
Pure Life's factory, situated on 5791 square meters, has a total investment cost of approximately $9.7 million, with a capital of $3.7 million, 20% of which is foreign. The company is engaged in producing micron filters and their components, assembling production lines and filter machines, and manufacturing and assembling components for desalination plants and wastewater treatment plants.
The company also produces reverse osmosis membranes, face masks, and personal protective equipment. According to the CEO, Pure Life aims to export around 80% of its annual production, with a current production capacity of 2 million filter candles and 30 housings for desalination plants. The company's exports have seen significant growth in recent years, increasing from $698,200 in 2022 to $799,400 in 2023.
The growth trend continued with exports reaching $2.72 million in 2024 and $3.17 million in 2025. Minister Dr. Mohamed Farid emphasized the importance of Egyptian companies expanding their production, increasing local components, and enhancing their ability to access foreign markets. He directed coordination between the ministry's entities and factories to support investment and promote increased exports.
The minister's tour included inspecting production lines and stages of manufacturing and assembling the company's products. He also reviewed Pure Life's future plans for expansion, increasing production capacity, and boosting exports. The company is committed to contributing to Egypt's economic growth through its investments and export activities.
