Dr. Mohamed Awad, CEO of Egypt's General Authority for Investment and Free Zones, represented Dr. Mohamed Farid Saleh, Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, at the 8th Arab Businesswomen's Council meeting. Former Arab League Secretary-General Ambassador Amr Moussa and several business and investment community leaders were also present.

Dr. Mohamed Awad emphasized that women's presence in leadership positions is no longer just a message of empowerment but an essential part of the economic growth and competitiveness equation. He stressed that economically empowering women should go beyond participation to influence, leadership, and value creation. Awad pointed out that Egypt aims to maximize the use of its investment potential to enhance its position as a comprehensive base for production, manufacturing, and exporting to regional and global markets.
