Egyptian Governor of Aswan, Eng. Amr Lashin, recently conducted an inspection tour of the paddle tennis courts project being implemented in the area opposite to Madkour Abu Elaz Garden. The project aims to develop the sports and recreational infrastructure in Aswan, taking advantage of the city's scenic views of the Nile River. Lashin was accompanied by several high-ranking officials, including the General Secretary of the Governorate, Brigadier Ramah El-Sayed.
During the inspection, Lashin emphasized the need to accelerate the completion of the remaining work, ensuring that all finishing touches are completed. The project involves the construction of three paddle tennis courts on a 2200 square-meter area, out of a total site area of 3520 square meters. The governor stressed that the project should be completed to the highest standards, reflecting the importance of its location and its sports and recreational nature.
The project also includes the construction of eight commercial shops for various activities, in addition to restrooms and changing rooms, providing essential services for visitors to the courts. The project's components aim to achieve optimal utilization of the site, integrating sports, recreational, and service activities in an area with a unique view of the Nile River. This initiative is part of the governorate's efforts to develop the sports and recreational infrastructure.
Lashin highlighted the governorate's keenness, in coordination with the Ministry of Youth and Sports, to support projects and initiatives that aim to develop the capabilities of young people and encourage them to practice modern sports. He pointed out that new sports and recreational projects come within the state's directions to improve the quality of life, raise the level of services provided to citizens, and take advantage of the distinguished sites in the governorate.
The governorate is working to develop the sports and recreational infrastructure, through the establishment of modern facilities that respond to the interests of young people and provide a space that combines sports, recreation, and investment of energies in a positive way. The project is being implemented in accordance with the necessary technical and engineering standards, contributing to the preservation of the area's urban character and the aesthetic appearance of Aswan City.
Lashin also directed the necessity of providing complete security for the shops and cafes in the Rose Garden, ensuring that they meet the necessary protection and civil defense requirements. He emphasized the importance of shop and cafe owners providing designated waste collection containers, contributing to maintaining cleanliness and the aesthetic and urban character of the garden and surrounding area.
The paddle tennis courts project in front of Madkour Abu Elaz Garden is one of the efforts to develop sports and recreational services in Aswan, by establishing modern facilities that respond to the interests of young people. Upon completion, the project is expected to enhance sports and recreational activities in the area, maximizing the use of spaces and sites overlooking the Nile River and supporting the aesthetic, tourist, and investment value of the area.
