Mustafa Shakron, head of the Suez Canal Economic Zone, expressed his welcome to the Chinese delegation and emphasized the significance of the visit in fostering investment and economic cooperation between Egypt and China. He highlighted the zone's success in attracting Chinese investments, particularly through the TEDA-M Egypt industrial developer, which hosts numerous Chinese companies operating in various industrial sectors.

Shakron added that the zone is interested in enhancing cooperation with the Chinese side in several areas, including clean energy and industries. He expressed his hope that the talks would lead to increased Chinese investments in the zone and open up new opportunities for companies and investors from Qinghai province to benefit from available investment opportunities.

Zhong Baosha praised the Suez Canal Economic Zone for its warm hospitality and efforts to deepen friendship and expand investment opportunities. He noted that the presidential visits between the two countries and the cooperation within the Belt and Road Initiative form an essential basis for enhancing communication and expanding economic and investment cooperation.

The Chinese delegation presented the natural and industrial advantages of Qinghai province, highlighting its reliance on salt extraction and related industries, as well as its potential in new materials, zero-carbon initiatives, clean energy, and tourism. They also emphasized the province's excellence in producing lithium batteries used in phones, electric cars, and energy storage systems.

The delegation expressed its desire to explore cooperation opportunities and establish joint investment partnerships within the Suez Canal Economic Zone. This interest follows a recent memorandum of understanding signed between the zone and China's Ministry of Commerce, which aims to support cooperation frameworks and pave the way for further Chinese investments in the zone.
