The price of meat cubes is 320 EGP. In outlets run by the Ministry of Supply and Kary On, meat prices reach 350 EGP, while lamb meat costs 370 EGP and camel meat costs 320 EGP.
In butcher shops, the prices of locally-made meat vary. The price of escalope is 570 EGP per kilogram in supermarkets. Kandooz samanan costs 570 EGP, while locally-made thigh costs 570 EGP. The price of locally-made Kafta and daoud basha Kafta is 370 EGP. Moreover, the price of intercut and annual meat is 425 EGP, and that of locally-made thigh meat is 500 EGP.
Traders pointed out that the price of meat cubes with fat in hypermarkets is 405 EGP, while that of high-end meat cubes is 450 EGP.
