The Egyptian Opera House, under the auspices of Dr. Abdel Aziz Kansoua, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Acting Minister of Culture, is organizing a grand festival to commemorate its 38th anniversary. The event will take place on Saturday, October 10, at 8 PM on the Large Stage, featuring over 500 artists from various affiliated troupes. The festival, directed by Hisham Al-Tali, will begin with the national anthem followed by a segment of Arabic music conducted by Maestro Dr. Mustafa Helmy and Maestro Ihab Abdel Hamid.

The festival will showcase a variety of performances, including an operetta titled "The Greatest Homeland" by Mohamed Abdel Wahab, with the participation of several Arab music stars. The Cairo Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Maestro Nader Abbasi, will perform alongside the Acapella Choir. Additionally, the Cairo Opera Ballet, under the supervision of its artistic director, Armenia Kamel, will present scenes from Sergei Prokofiev's ballet "Romeo and Juliet" and "The Nile" by Omar Khairat.

The festival will also feature a performance by the Cairo Opera Company, under the supervision of its artistic director, Julie Fayzi, accompanied by the Opera Choir. They will perform excerpts from famous global operas, including Verdi's "La Traviata," "Il Trovatore," and "Rigoletto," as well as Gounod's "Faust" and Kalman "The Princess of the Czardas." The performance will feature Rasha Tallet, Julie Fayzi, Mustafa Madhat, Dalia Farouk, Mona Rafla, and Reda El-Wakil.

A documentary film showcasing the history of the Egyptian Opera House, from its inception to the present day, will be screened during the festival. The film, prepared by the Montage Studio and directed by Samer Mady, will highlight the Opera House's most significant milestones and feature rare scenes from the Khedivial Opera.

The Egyptian Opera House was inaugurated on October 10, 1988, and comprises seven theaters, including the Large Stage, Small Stage, Open-Air Stage, and others.
