Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has been announced as the leader of the 335-man Pelumi Olajengbesi House of Representatives Campaign Council for the January 2027 election. Olajengbesi, the Accord Party candidate for Obokun-Oriade Federal Constituency, made this announcement on Wednesday. The campaign council aims to help Olajengbesi unseat the incumbent Wole Oke of the All Progressives Congress, who has held the seat for 24 unbroken years.

The campaign council brings together respected leaders, political stakeholders, professionals, community leaders, women, youths, students, and grassroots mobilisers from across the Federal Constituency and beyond. Governor Adeleke was also announced as the patron of the campaign council alongside Kazeem Akinleye and Dele Faseru. The state’s Environment Commissioner, Mayowa Adejorin, was announced as the council chairman and deputized by the state’s Cooperative and Empowerment Commissioner, Bayo Ogungbangbe.

The council has several key members, including Adesoji Baderin as the director-general, Ladesuyi Tope and Sola Adeyekun as deputies, Omotoso Eniola as secretary, Ademola Asaju as assistant secretary, and Komolafe Fopefolu as spokesperson. The campaign council has been divided into 20 sub-committees, including Elders & Stakeholder Engagement, Strategy & Political Planning, Mobilisation & Field Operations, and Ward Coordination Committees.

The Elders & Stakeholder Engagement Committee has 17 members and is chaired by Ayodeji Areola, with Francis Agboola as secretary. The Strategy & Political Planning Committee has 13 members and is chaired by Adekusibe Okeowo, with Bisi Babafemi as secretary. The Mobilisation & Field Operations Committee has 24 members and is chaired by Yemisi Itiola, with Ibikunle Lateef as secretary.

The campaign council also includes committees focused on youth and women mobilization. The Youth Mobilisation Committee has 25 members and is chaired by Osundokun Osundare, with Adebusuyi Adeleye as secretary. The Women Mobilisation Committee also has 25 members and is led by Roseline Adeyemi, with Keji Lawal as secretary.

The Media & Publicity Committee, with 14 members, is chaired by Tope Abiola, with Ogidiolu Adedeji as secretary. The Digital & New Media Committee has 20 members and is led by Niyi Odinna, with Adedolapo Adeyemi as secretary. Other committees include Research, Policy & Manifesto, Legal & Compliance, Election Planning & Monitoring, and Finance & Fundraising.

Pelumi Olajengbesi, the Accord Party candidate, was the campaign spokesman for the re-election of Governor Adeleke in the August 15, 2026 Osun State Governorship Election. With Governor Adeleke leading the campaign council, Olajengbesi's bid to unseat Wole Oke is expected to gain momentum.
