The Onyendu Ndigbo in Ejigbo LCDA, Onyendu Dr Alex SM Nwoye, has expressed gratitude to the Obi of Uga, HRH Igwe Chidi Steven Ezenwugo, for his presence at the recent inauguration of Ndindu Ndigbo in Lagos. The event, which took place on October 3, brought together prominent Igbo traditional rulers and stakeholders from across Lagos and the South-East. Nwoye, also known as Ochiri Ozuo na Uga, commended Ezenwugo for sending a high-powered delegation of chiefs to the ceremony.

The Obi of Uga was represented at the event by High Chief Goddy Umeugoji, Chairman/CEO of Today's Exclusive Hotel and Suites, Ejigbo, who led a delegation of chiefs from Uga. Nwoye appreciated Ezenwugo for his support and for honouring the occasion with his presence. The inauguration ceremony was attended by various traditional rulers, including the Obi of Onitsha, HRM Nnaemeka Achebe, and HRM Eze E.C. Okeke, among others.

Onyendu Nwoye also commended other traditional rulers, including HRM Igwe Lawrence Agubuzor, HRM Igwe Chidubem Iweka, and HRM Eze Linus Mbah, for their presence at the ceremony. He expressed appreciation for their support and acknowledged the efforts of the Chairman on the occasion, Chief Nnamdi Obi, for his fatherly advice. Nwoye also thanked the Chief Charles Odunukwe-led Regularisation Committee and its Secretary, Prince Ubochi Ubochi, for their successful execution of the ceremony.

The Onyendu of Mushin, Peter Umeh, also spoke at the event, expressing appreciation to Ndigbo in Mushin for their impressive representation. Umeh commended the Obi of Uga, HRH Igwe Ezenwugo, for his fatherly support to the people of Uga at the ceremony. He congratulated all the certified Ndindus and the Regularisation and Planning Committee for the successful ceremony.

Onyendu Nwoye noted that he was the first Eze in Lagos to align with the advice of the South-East traditional rulers to accept the Onyendu Ndigbo nomenclature. He pledged to work within the framework and ensure peace and unity among Ndigbo in Ejigbo and Lagos State. Nwoye's sentiments were echoed by other attendees, who acknowledged the significance of the event in promoting unity and cooperation among Igbo communities.
