Madam Ammar congratulated the Arab Business Women's Council on the launch of its 8th meeting and on completing over 25 years of work in promoting the presence of Arab women in the business world. She added that empowering women economically has become a strategic necessity linked to the state's ability to achieve inclusive growth, social stability, and a more prosperous future for future generations.
The Egyptian state, under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, believes that empowering women and their economic empowerment represents a fundamental pillar in the national development process. This is reflected in the launch of the National Strategy for Empowering Egyptian Women 2030, which has made economic empowerment one of its main axes. The strategy aims to support women's participation in economic activities and promote their role as partners in development.
The National Council for Women has played a pivotal role in converting national policies into tangible economic opportunities through capacity-building programs, qualifying women for the labor market, supporting entrepreneurship, and promoting financial culture and inclusion. The council has succeeded in qualifying over 380,000 women in project management and establishing 52 production and training units.
The meeting discussed several topics related to supporting businesswomen and enhancing cooperation and networking among female entrepreneurs in Arab countries. The participants emphasized the need for an integrated Arab vision that connects businesswomen, exchanges knowledge and experience, facilitates access to finance and markets, and takes advantage of digital transformation and the green economy.
The meeting concluded with a speech by Khalidah Abdallah Al-Dushti, Secretary-General of the Arab Business Women's Council, followed by a commemorative photo shoot of the participants. The event aimed to promote economic empowerment and support for women in the Arab world.
