Egyptian Minister of Labor, Hassan Raddad, recently met with a delegation from Eastern Spinners at his office in the new capital. The meeting focused on intensifying cooperation between the Ministry and the company in the areas of training and employment. During the meeting, Minister Raddad announced the start of the first phase of job opportunities in collaboration with Eastern Spinners. The initiative aims to provide 550 job opportunities for young people in six governorates in Upper Egypt.
The six governorates that will benefit from this initiative are Fayoum, Beni Suef, Minya, Asyut, Sohag, and Qena. Minister Raddad emphasized that this step is part of the government's efforts to convert cooperation with the private sector into real job opportunities for young people. The minister also announced that interviews and tests for the jobs will begin on October 11, 2026. A schedule has been set for the interviews, which will take place at various locations in the governorates.
The interviews for young people from Beni Suef and Fayoum will be held on October 11 at the Beni Suef and Fayoum labor directorates, respectively. For Minya, the interviews will take place on October 12 at the Minya labor directorate. Asyut, Sohag, and Qena will follow on October 13, 14, and 15, respectively. Minister Raddad urged young people who have already applied to attend the interviews on the designated dates to complete the procedures. He also encouraged those who are interested in applying for the jobs but have not yet done so to visit the designated locations.
The job opportunities include various fields such as production, operation, and engineering. Some of the available positions are production technician, assistant weaver, and engineers in electrical, mechanical, and electronics specialties. Additionally, there are positions for forklift drivers. According to the minister, these jobs are offered in accordance with the needs and specialties announced earlier.
One of the key benefits of these job opportunities is that they are offered within one of the largest industrial groups in Egypt, located in the 10th of Ramadan City. The jobs come with salaries and benefits according to the nature of each position. Moreover, they offer opportunities for stability, career growth, and acquiring practical experience in a specialized industrial and production environment.
Minister Raddad emphasized that the launch of this initiative in Upper Egypt governorates represents the first phase of this partnership. He added that the Ministry will continue to coordinate with Eastern Spinners to complete the stages of providing job opportunities. This, he believes, will open new prospects for young people and support the industry's needs for qualified workers.
The Minister of Labor also highlighted that his ministry is committed to implementing its approach of "training for employment." This involves linking actual labor market needs to available job opportunities and enhancing partnerships with the private sector. These efforts are in line with the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to support national industry, investment, and production, and to provide decent job opportunities for young people.
