The project involved several key upgrades, including the development of the station's intake, which was previously a 500mm diameter flexible pipe. The new intake is a concrete structure with a 800mm diameter pipe, equipped with a steel grid and weed barrier. Additionally, the sedimentation tanks were upgraded from a single 63.75 cubic meter tank to two 246 cubic meter tanks.
The station's filtration units were also upgraded, with the addition of new pumps and a modern control system. The project included the installation of 10 pumps, including five for sedimentation and five for filtration, with a combined capacity of 185 liters per second. The station's water treatment process now uses a more efficient system, including lamella clarifiers and rapid sand filters.
