The Dakahlia Health Department in Egypt has provided 89,216 free medical services to citizens in the 58th day of the 100 Days of Health campaign. The campaign, now in its fourth edition, aims to provide medical, therapeutic, preventive, and awareness services to citizens. The services were provided through various health facilities, hospitals, and mobile units across the governorate. The department is working to maximize the use of available medical resources and provide services to as many citizens as possible.
The primary healthcare and integrated mother and child care services provided 38,965 services, including 19,804 general attendance cases, 88 beneficiaries from the "Your Heart is a Trust" initiative, 126 emergency cases, 985 dental services, and 16 cases of thyroid gland and phenylketonuria examination. Additionally, 581 children and 265 pregnant women were monitored. The department also provided services for those about to get married, with 439 cases attending and 416 certificates issued.
The preventive medicine and public health teams provided 1,876 vaccination doses and conducted environmental health efforts, including field visits to 17 facilities, collecting 98 water samples, 3 sewage samples, and one swimming pool sample. The department's efforts aim to provide comprehensive healthcare services to citizens.
Hospitals across the governorate provided 32,632 services, including 12,081 services at outpatient clinics, 11,274 prescriptions from hospital pharmacies, 2,550 laboratory analyses, and 2,071 radiology services. There were 1,395 emergency cases, 299 hospital admissions, 1,070 dialysis sessions, and 705 physical therapy sessions.
The presidential initiatives provided 7,444 medical services, including 2,652 services for chronic disease follow-up, 2,371 services within the women's health initiative, 2,103 services for early cancer detection, and 406 referrals to family planning clinics. Additionally, 159 services were provided for the elderly, 87 services within the mother and child health initiative, and 72 audiology services.
The family development and counseling services benefited 3,193 women, with 2,595 women receiving family planning methods, including 263 women receiving long-acting methods. There were 3,269 visits for counseling services and 2,478 referrals to family development clinics. The department also conducted 415 awareness-raising seminars, targeting 4,133 citizens.
The Dakahlia Health Department emphasized the importance of maintaining high performance rates and expanding services to reach citizens across the governorate. The department will continue to implement the campaign with full capacity and daily monitoring to ensure the provision of high-quality healthcare services.
