Bank Misr, one of Egypt's largest banks, has announced its financial results for 2025, showcasing significant growth across various sectors. The bank's net profit reached 100.9 billion Egyptian pounds (EGP) for the year ending December 31, 2025, marking a 24% increase from 81.3 billion EGP in 2024. This growth is attributed to the bank's successful strategies and effective management of its operations.

The bank's total assets reached 4,205 billion EGP by the end of December 2025, up from 3,610 billion EGP in 2024, representing a 16% growth rate. The bank's loan portfolio also saw a significant increase, with a 17% growth in direct loans to customers, reaching 1,403 billion EGP by the end of 2025, compared to 1,197 billion EGP in 2024.

Deposits from customers also showed a notable increase, growing by 17% to reach 2,935 billion EGP by the end of 2025, up from 2,498 billion EGP in 2024. The bank's pre-tax profits reached 154.7 billion EGP, including 53.8 billion EGP in taxes. The bank's retail banking sector experienced a 27% growth in its portfolio compared to the end of 2024.

Bank Misr has made significant strides in digital banking, with over 17.4 million cards issued and more than 515,000 merchant locations across Egypt. The bank's transactions through point-of-sale machines (POS) and e-commerce platforms exceeded 540 billion EGP annually. The bank is committed to promoting financial inclusion and has implemented various initiatives to encourage the use of electronic payment methods.

The bank's Islamic banking sector also saw substantial growth, with a 34% increase in its portfolio to reach 10.4 billion EGP by the end of August 2026. Bank Misr operates 59 branches for Islamic transactions, offering a range of modern banking services. The bank's support for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and microfinance initiatives has been a key focus area.

The bank's SME portfolio grew by 11% compared to the end of 2024, with over 131,000 clients as of December 2025. Bank Misr has introduced various financing programs, including the "Express" digital loan for SMEs, which has disbursed 79.15 billion EGP in loans since its launch in 2020. The bank has also launched initiatives such as the "Dhat" program, providing financing to female entrepreneurs.

In terms of corporate financing, Bank Misr's portfolio of corporate loans and joint financing reached 1.5 trillion EGP by the end of August 2026, with a 17% growth rate compared to the end of 2024. The bank has arranged and participated in 23 financing deals worth 390.5 billion EGP across various sectors. Bank Misr continues to expand its presence, with 901 branches and units, and over 6,700 ATM machines across Egypt.
