The Constance Generosity Challenge 2026, now in its fifth edition, recently took place on September 23, with teams from Constance Hospitality and Constance Group participating in a spinning challenge to support local NGOs. The event, organized by the Fondation Constance, aims to promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and solidarity while raising funds for worthy causes. This year, 281 participants from Mauritius cycled for 12 hours, aiming to cover the greatest distance possible.

The challenge was held simultaneously in various locations where the Constance group is present, including Mauritius, Seychelles, Maldives, Madagascar, and Rodrigues. In Mauritius, the beneficiary of the challenge was Autisme Maurice, an organization that supports individuals with autism spectrum disorders and their families. For every kilometer cycled, a contribution of 5 USD or 5 EUR was donated to the selected beneficiary in each destination.

The event featured five Power Moments, which added a competitive edge to the challenge. These included the Fastest 5, where the fastest participant to cover 5 km was rewarded; the Final 5, which recognized the participant who covered the greatest distance in the last five minutes; the Leadership Power Hour, where members of the group's management cycled for an hour; the Top 5, which honored the top five participants who covered the greatest distance; and the 5 for Her, which recognized the top five female participants.

The Constance Generosity Challenge has been running for six years, initially as a 24-hour challenge involving only the Head Office teams. This year, the event expanded to other destinations where the Constance group is present in the Indian Ocean. According to Vincent de Marasse Enouf, President of the Fondation Constance, "The generosity takes its full strength when it becomes collective. Through the Constance Generosity Challenge, every kilometer cycled contributes to a common effort and translates into concrete support for communities."

The challenge resulted in a total of Rs 350,000 being raised for Autisme Maurice. The event also saw participation from clients of Constance Hospitality and Constance Group, who cycled alongside employees. The challenge was held in various establishments, including Constance La Gaieté and Coroi Maurice.

Other Constance Hospitality establishments in the region also participated in the challenge, with some supporting local NGOs such as EcoMode Society and Hope for Smile. The challenge not only promoted teamwork and sportsmanship but also demonstrated the group's commitment to giving back to the community.

The Constance Generosity Challenge 2026 has once again demonstrated the power of collective effort in making a positive impact on local communities. With its continued growth and expansion, the event is expected to raise even more funds for worthy causes in the future.
