The Conseil des ministres examined the proposal and did not object in principle, but requested the Minister of Health to find a temporary solution to ensure continuity of service. The government is seeking a more efficient and cost-effective alternative. The Minister of Education, Bacar Mvoulana, submitted a request for authorization for Comoros to join the Coalition for Disaster-Resilient Infrastructure (Cdri). Although the Conseil des ministres did not reject the move, concerns were raised regarding the institutional anchorage of this initiative. The Conseil des ministres has yet to finalize its position on this matter.
The Minister of Interior, Mohamed Ahmed Assoumani, presented a project for the construction of the regional directorate of Civil Security in Mwali. The minister reported receiving support from China to launch the project, and the Conseil des ministres gave its approval. They recommended organizing a ceremony to lay the foundation stone as soon as possible.
The Conseil des ministres also reviewed the emergency response efforts of firefighters in Ngazidja from January 1 to July 31, 2026. Several observations were made, and the Conseil des ministres recommended diversifying intervention centers across the territory to improve assistance to populations outside major cities. They also emphasized the need to address the status of the General Directorate of Civil Security to resolve existing governance issues.
The Minister of Information, Fatima Ahamada, requested authorization to sign a cooperation protocol between the Chinese news agency Xinhua and the national daily Al-watwan. The Conseil des ministres approved the principle of the agreement but urged acceleration of the process to avoid delays during the upcoming visit of President Azali Assoumani to China.
