The Children's Rights and Violence Prevention Fund (CRVPF), a regional child rights and social justice intermediary organization, is seeking a Finance Officer to support its EYDCD program in Kampala, Uganda. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the program, including budget monitoring, technical support to partners, and financial reporting. CRVPF advances the safety and rights of children and youth in Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, and Ethiopia.

The Finance Officer will work closely with the CRVPF-EDYCD Program Coordinator and the Regional Finance and Grants Coordinator to ensure effective financial management of the program. Key duties include conducting due diligence, budget monitoring, and technical support to partners, as well as ensuring controls, contracting, financial reporting, and analysis. The Finance Officer will also provide financial expertise and advice internally to the program team.

The ideal candidate for the position should have a bachelor's degree in a finance and accounting field, as well as a recognized accounting qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA, ICA, CMA, or any other CA qualification. A minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in financial roles and 5 years within a not-for-profit organization is required. Experience with budgeting, reporting, and analysis, as well as working knowledge of Financial Internal Controls Management, is essential.

The Finance Officer will be responsible for maintaining accurate and timely EYDCD program financial documentation and reporting on contract commitments, disbursements, and cash flow projections. The successful candidate will also review all partner EYDCD finance reports and financials in the MIS and ensure that these are well aligned with source documents. Additionally, the Finance Officer will compile quarterly reports and supporting documents to the partner and attend to all financial reports and feedback from the partner.

The position requires strong analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail, as well as proficiency with MS Office, specifically Excel. Skills in project management, microfinance, and youth inclusion are also desirable. Previous work with young women, youths in slums, and refugee communities is an added advantage. The successful candidate will be able to work with a small team and deliver results with or without close supervision.
