Cairo University, led by President Dr. Mohamed Sami Abdel Sadek, announced that its College of African Studies has earned two new international ISO certificates. The college obtained the ISO 45001:2018 certificate for occupational health and safety management and the ISO 14001:2015 certificate for environmental management. This brings the total number of ISO certificates held by the college to five. The move reflects the university's ongoing efforts to develop its administrative, educational, and research systems according to international quality and sustainability standards.

The college previously obtained three ISO certificates: ISO 9001:2015 for quality management, ISO 21001:2018 for educational institution management, and ISO 22301:2019 for business continuity management. These certificates demonstrate the college's commitment to quality performance, efficient educational management, business continuity, environmental protection, and providing a safe and healthy work environment.

Dr. Mohamed Sami Abdel Sadek, President of Cairo University, emphasized that the university is committed to developing its performance across all faculties and institutes. The university aims to apply international quality standards, improve management efficiency, and enhance educational and research services. Abdel Sadek noted that obtaining international accreditation certificates is not an end in itself but rather a means of ensuring sustainable development, optimizing resource utilization, and improving the quality of services provided to students, researchers, and staff.

The dean emphasized that this step reflects the development of internal work systems and the commitment to applying quality requirements and continuous improvement.
