The second edition of the Salon de l'innovation de l'industrie du BTP en Afrique (SIIBA BIM AFRIK) is set to take place from November 5-7, 2026, at the Ouaga 2000 conference hall. The event, organized by Fasobim Group, aims to promote innovation, new technologies, and skills development in the construction and public works sector. This year's edition will focus on the theme "Digital transformation and innovation in construction and rail: what levers for Burkina Faso?".

The event will bring together around 20 exhibitors and 3,000 participants from Burkina Faso and abroad. According to Fabrice Yangané, president of the organizing committee, the goal is to create a platform for exchanges, training, and reflection on solutions that can improve the design, implementation, and management of infrastructure. The event will feature conferences, panels, training sessions, masterclasses, exhibitions, and demonstrations of technological solutions.

Two main axes will be developed during the SIIBA: innovation and digital transformation in construction, and rail and infrastructure. The event will focus on Building Information Modeling (BIM), a method that allows different stakeholders to work from a common digital model containing technical information about a project. This approach can facilitate error detection, improve coordination among professionals, and contribute to better cost and deadline management.

The event will also emphasize the development of rail infrastructure, with discussions on the prospects of rail in Burkina Faso, urban, peri-urban, and regional transportation solutions, and financing opportunities. The digitalization of the rail sector, exploitation, and maintenance of networks will also be addressed. The SIIBA aims to contribute to the reflection on the role of rail in mobility, territorial development, and economic growth.

The reinforcement of skills is another important aspect of the SIIBA. Training sessions and masterclasses will be offered to professionals, students, and young graduates, with a focus on the valorization of national expertise and the mobilization of diaspora skills. The third day of the event will be dedicated to practical training for students and professionals, who will have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with software that optimizes project management and implementation.

The event will also feature an exhibition space where companies, institutions, and solution providers can present their activities and expertise. Professional meetings, networking activities, and a gala dinner are planned to foster partnerships and business opportunities. Access to the exhibition spaces, conferences, and panels is open to the public, and registrations can be made online on www.siiba-bimafrik.com.
