The APC campaign flag-off event, held at Nsukka Township Stadium, drew a large crowd of party supporters, political office holders, traditional leaders, and community leaders from across the state's three senatorial districts. Party leaders described the turnout as a demonstration of the APC's political strength in Enugu State, emphasizing their determination to secure victory for all their candidates in the upcoming elections.

Governor Peter Mbah addressed the gathering, highlighting his administration's achievements in security, infrastructure, education, healthcare, economic development, and the revival of moribund assets. He urged the people to assess his government's performance through its achievements and ongoing projects, noting that the opposition had not presented a manifesto. Mbah also reflected on his journey to Nsukka, citing the benefits of the dualized Penoks–T-Junction – Ugwogo-Opi-Nsukka road, which has reduced travel time and improved safety.

The governor provided updates on his administration's infrastructure program, citing the 40km Owo-Ubahu-Amankanu-Umualor-Ikem virgin dual carriageway as another intervention designed to improve connectivity. He also highlighted the Smart Green Schools initiative, aimed at transforming the quality of learning and preparing children for a productive future. Additionally, Mbah disclosed that his government had recruited over 6,000 teachers, who are undergoing training at the state's Centre for Experiential Learning and Innovation.

In the healthcare sector, Governor Mbah stated that his administration is constructing Type-2 Primary Healthcare Centres across the state's 260 electoral wards, with each facility provided with healthcare personnel and accommodation. He also listed the reopening and operations of several key investments, including the Presidential Hotel and International Conference Centre, as evidence of the state's efforts to stimulate economic activities and create employment opportunities.

Governor Mbah also highlighted Enugu Air as a symbol of the state's readiness to attract investment, tourism, and business opportunities. He announced that Enugu Air will have a direct flight to London in a few weeks and plans to launch flights to the United States and China by the end of the first quarter of next year. The governor acknowledged that more work remains to be done, particularly in road infrastructure, reiterating his administration's commitment to its 10,000-kilometre road construction target.

The event was attended by top party members, including the Director-General of the Enugu APC Campaign Council, Chief Charlie Mbah, and the Enugu State APC Chairman, Dr Martin Chukwunwike. With the official flag-off, the Enugu State APC is set to commence a statewide campaign tour. Deputy Governor Ifeanyi Ossai accused the opposition of disinformation, saying the forthcoming elections presented an opportunity for the people to sustain the development programs of the current administration.
