Algerian Minister of National Education, Mohamed Séghir Saadawi, chaired a national conference via video conferencing on Thursday evening. The meeting was attended by central administration officials, directors of education, and delegated directors, as well as the director of the National Office for Examinations and Competitions. The conference aimed to monitor several organizational and managerial files related to the smooth operation of the school year.

Minister Saadawi emphasized the importance of educational support in the uniform application of the internal system for educational institutions. He stressed the need to ensure that various members of the educational family, including parents, are informed about its contents through printed and digital media. Additionally, he called for intensifying awareness campaigns to educate them about its provisions.

The conference discussed several cases of disruption to the educational system within institutions, particularly with regards to live streaming from inside classrooms. Minister Saadawi confirmed that these cases are dealt with in accordance with the internal system, specifically Article 43, which prohibits the use of mobile phones and communication, photography, and recording devices inside classrooms.

In this context, Minister Saadawi called for the referral of those concerned to disciplinary councils, after the presence of students' parents. He noted that these cases are extremely isolated. Regarding educational supervision, the minister followed up on presentations by directors of education related to completing the process of filling vacancies, following the appointment of successful teachers in the recruitment competition.

Minister Saadawi emphasized the need for strict adherence to various laws and regulations in force. He also directed the opening of the field for recruitment from outside the province in the specialty of physical education and sports, at the level of provinces that still record a deficit in the supervision of this subject.

The conference also addressed concerns recorded at the level of some education directorates. Minister Saadawi confirmed that addressing various situations, including reserve lists and vacancy cases, is carried out exclusively within the framework of the laws and regulations in force.

Minister Saadawi concluded the conference by praising the efforts of members of the educational family across various provinces, which contributed to ensuring a stable start to the school year. He renewed his emphasis on the need to continue working hard and responsibly, improving educational and administrative performance, while ensuring the optimal use of public resources.
