Algeria's national team coach Ibrahim Hamdani announced the squad for the upcoming matches against Togo on Thursday. The announcement was made at a press conference held at the "Mohamed Salah" hall at the Nelson Mandela stadium in Baraki. The team will face Togo twice, on November 14 at the Hussein Ait Ahmed stadium in Tizi Ouzou and three days later at the Lomé capital stadium, as part of the third and fourth rounds of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

The team will begin its training camp on Monday at the National Technical Center in Sidi Moussa. The squad consists of 26 players, including new faces such as defender Mohamed Azzi from Russian club CSKA Moscow and midfielder Abd al-Rahman Rbach from Spanish club Alaves. Both players have received their first call-up to the national team.

Compared to the squad for the September international window, eight players have been dropped, including goalkeeper Kylian Belacouz, defenders Rayan Ait Nouri, Samir Cherki, and Saadi Razouani, and midfielders Adel Ouchiche, Adam Zorgane, Ilyan Qabla, and Adel Bourbaya.

Five players have returned to the squad, including goalkeeper Osama Benbout, defender Rafik Bougalali, midfielders Hicham Boudaoui and Yacine Titraoui, and forward Faris Djabour. Notably, midfielder Nabil Bentaleb, who was part of the September training camp but missed the last game due to injury, has not been included in the current squad.

The team is preparing for the crucial matches against Togo, which will determine their chances of qualifying for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations. Algeria's coach Hamdani will be looking to build on the team's performance in the previous qualifiers and secure a spot in the tournament.

The matches against Togo will be a significant test for the Algerian team, who will be seeking to bounce back from a disappointing performance in the previous international window. The team's fans will be eagerly awaiting the matches, hoping for a positive result that will boost the team's morale and chances of qualifying for the Africa Cup of Nations.

Algeria's team, also known as the "Desert Warriors," has a rich football history and a strong following in the country. The team's performance in the upcoming matches will be closely watched by fans and analysts alike, who will be assessing the team's chances of success in the qualifiers and beyond.
