The Forum of Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) of Federal Government parastatals and agencies has pledged to mobilise 10 million votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election. Led by its Convener and Chairman, Dr Kazeem Kolawale Raji, the Forum disclosed this pledge during a visit to the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume, in Abuja. The Forum aims to deploy its extensive networks across the 36 states, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), local government areas, and communities to mobilise support for Tinubu's re-election.
The SGF, represented by the Permanent Secretary, Political and Economic Affairs Office, Bekearedebo Augusta Warrens, charged the Forum to take the message and impact of the Federal Government's reforms to the grassroots. Akume emphasised the need for effective grassroots communication to counter disinformation surrounding the administration's economic reforms and policies. He urged the Forum to promote the achievements of the administration and correct the narrative that the reform policy is meant to imprison or impoverish Nigerians.
The SGF commended the Forum for organising itself into a cohesive body and promoting the Renewed Hope Agenda within its respective agencies and areas of responsibility. He expressed confidence that the Forum's proposed target of mobilising 10 million votes was achievable, given its existing structures and projections. Akume assured the CEOs that the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (OSGF) would provide the necessary institutional support to enable the Forum to achieve its objectives.
Earlier, Raji conferred the position of Grand Patron of the Forum on Akume in recognition of his leadership and role in coordinating the machinery of government. Raji stated that the Forum was committed to mobilising 10 million votes for Tinubu's re-election through lawful, ethical, peaceful, and issue-based grassroots engagement. He noted that the Forum's members, as chief executives of federal agencies and parastatals, have extensive professional and community networks that could be used to communicate government policies and programmes to citizens.
According to Raji, the Forum's members have more than 400 CEOs and senior officials drawn from federal agencies and parastatals, with networks extending across the country. One of the Forum's key objectives is to bridge the communication gap between government and the public by ensuring that the achievements, reforms, and measurable outcomes of the administration are properly documented and communicated to Nigerians.
The Permanent Secretary, Cabinet Affairs Office, Dr Chidiebere John Ezeamama, urged the Forum to establish an effective communication channel with the OSGF to enable the office to receive regular updates on its activities and achievements. He proposed the creation of a centralised digital platform to facilitate real-time information sharing, coordinate inter-agency participation, and track developmental milestones of the Forum.
The Forum's initiative aims to support the administration's efforts to promote its policies and programmes.
