The Presidential Candidate of the Action Democratic Party (ADP) for the 2027 general elections, Amb. Aliyu Bin Abbas, has announced key appointments to his presidential office. A statement signed by Okpani Jacob Onjewu Dickson, Senior Special Assistant (SSA), Media & Publicity Office of the Presidential Candidate ADP, on September 29, 2026, revealed the new appointments. These appointments aim to strengthen the organisational structure, coordination, administration, and strategic operations of the Presidential Campaign.
The appointments unveiled at a press briefing in Kano include Hon. Hamza Nasarawa as Chief of Staff, Fati Mustapha as Head of Admin, and Hon. Abel Adinoyi Salami as Deputy Chief of Staff. Other appointees are Engr. Kabiru Ahmad Kwalli as Chief Protocol Officer, Hon. Oludare Olatunde as Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Special Duties, and Hon. Meshack Onyeche as Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Youth and Support Groups.
Additional appointments include Hon. Mustapha Abdulsamad as Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Domestic Affairs, Hon. Zainab Isa as Special Assistant (SA) on Women Mobilisation, and Hon. Abdullahi Zangina Mainamaji as Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Finance, Budget and Planning. Hon. Aliyu Garba is Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Strategy and Planning, while Hon. Hassan Umar Muhammad is Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Transport and Logistics.
The appointments also include Hon. Mercy Eke as Official Office Secretary, Hon. Collins Onyeaji as Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Human Relations and Inter-Party Affairs, and Hon. Maryam Khalid as Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Humanitarian Affairs. Alh Tijjani Lawal Kofar Wambai is Special Assistant on North West Matters, and Chisom Chibizor Nonyia is Special Assistant on South East Affairs.
Amb. Aliyu Bin Abbas congratulated the newly appointed aides and charged them to discharge their responsibilities with integrity, discipline, professionalism, loyalty, and an unwavering commitment to national service. He emphasised that the emerging political movement is anchored on the principles of Nigeria First, inclusive governance, national unity, youth participation, institutional accountability, and a new generation of leadership.
The Presidential candidate further called on the team to work collectively and diligently towards presenting Nigerians with a credible alternative and a clear vision for a New Nigeria that works for all people. He stressed that these appointments are not merely positions of privilege but positions of responsibility, entrusted with a national mission to serve with humility, competence, and an unwavering commitment to the Nigerian people.
Okpani Jacob Onjewu Dickson, who is also the media guru, retains his position as spokesman for the presidential campaign. The team is expected to work together to achieve the goals of the ADP presidential campaign, with more appointments to be announced as needed. The newly appointed aides are expected to play a crucial role in the success of the campaign.
