The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Orientation Camp in Dazigau, Nangere Local Government Area, recently hosted a significant event where 1,501 Corps Members of the 2026 Batch C Stream I officially took the Oath of Allegiance. Governor Mai Mala Buni, represented by the Commissioner for Youth, Sports, Social and Community Development, Alhaji Barma Shettima, addressed the recruits. The NYSC Yobe State Coordinator, Mr. Okochi Okpara, expressed gratitude for the Yobe State Government's consistent support of the Scheme. Jajere, representing the Chief Judge of Yobe State, who administered the Oath of Allegiance to the 1,501 registered members.
The ceremony included a Man O' War bottle-filling competition, adding a vibrant touch to the occasion. The Governor's team won, securing a cash prize of ₦100,000, while the runners-up, the NYSC Director-General's team, received ₦50,000. The prizes were presented by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Youth, Sports, Social and Community Development, Alhaji Muhammad Abubakar Gidado.
The swearing-in ceremony concluded with three hearty cheers led by the Overall Parade Commander, Emmanuel Jeremiah Ableaba (YB/26C/0004). This was followed by a commemorative group photograph session involving the corps members and state officials. The event was a significant milestone in the service year of the 1,501 corps members.
