Zamfara State Governor Dauda Lawal has launched the construction of a 95km road in the Tsafe Local Government Area of the state. The project aims to ease transportation of goods and strengthen security in the area. The road will span several communities, including Yandoton Daji, Cediya, Doka, Yan Waren Daji, Hayin Alhaji Bedi, Unguwar Joji, and Yankuzo to Tsafe, with five bridges. The road project will be executed in two phases, with the first phase covering 47km awarded to SKY Construction Company, while the second phase covering 48km was awarded to Setraco Construction Company Limited. The project is expected to enhance the movement of goods and the mobility of security agencies.

Governor Lawal stated that the road project is part of a broader infrastructure renewal programme across Zamfara. Similar projects are being executed, including the Gusau–Magami–Dansadau Road and the Zurmi–Rukudawa Road. Additionally, there is the Mallamawa–Bukkuyum Road with a spur to Masamar Mudi, which are all steadily reconnecting communities and addressing long-standing infrastructure deficits.

The governor emphasized that well-built roads are essential for safe travel, efficient movement of goods, and economic growth. He tasked the Ministry of Works and Infrastructure to ensure rigorous supervision, quality assurance, and strict compliance with approved engineering standards.
