Oro STAR Consultancy Services is offering a series of continuing professional development (CPD) courses for development practitioners in Zambia. The courses, scheduled for November and December 2026, cover various topics including fundraising, Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, Research, and Learning (MEARL), resource mobilisation, proposal development, strategic planning, environmental and social safeguards, and community forestry and carbon project readiness. These courses are designed to equip practitioners with practical skills to enhance their expertise.

One of the courses, the Fundraising Survey Results Dissemination and Capacity-Building Workshop, will take place on 22-23 October 2026 at the Crossroads Lodge in Olympia, Lusaka. The workshop aims to strengthen participants' skills in identifying prospects, positioning their organisations, and developing competitive funding submissions. It will cover the funding landscape in Zambia, the Middle East, and the Gulf, including institutional donors, foundations, private sector, philanthropic organisations, and high-net-worth individuals.

The MEARL Systems Design and Evaluation Consultancy course will focus on practical consultancy outputs that can be adapted to client needs. Participants will learn to help organisations measure results, strengthen accountability, and use evidence to improve performance. The course will cover comprehensive MEARL systems, frameworks, and plans, including logframes, indicators, means of verification, and assumptions.

Another course, the Resource Mobilisation and Proposal Development Consultancy, will position participants to help clients identify prospects, build donor relationships, and prepare stronger funding submissions. The course will cover comprehensive resource mobilisation strategies, donor mapping, prospect research, and opportunity identification. Participants will also learn to develop competitive proposals, concept notes, and expressions of interest tailored to donor requirements.

The Strategic Planning and Organisational Development Consultancy course will guide participants from organisational diagnosis to a costed strategy with clear implementation responsibilities and measurable results. The course will cover the complete strategic planning and development process, including organisational and situational analysis, development and review of vision, mission, values, and strategic objectives.

Additionally, Oro STAR Consultancy Services is offering courses on Environmental and Social Safeguards Consultancy, and Community Forestry and Carbon Project Readiness Consultancy. These courses aim to equip practitioners with practical skills to identify risks early, translate safeguards commitments into practical management systems, and connect technical recommendations with client priorities.
