Yemen's Presidential Council leader Rshad Al-Alimi, who is also the supreme commander of the Yemeni armed forces, has called on Houthi militia to surrender. In a statement on Tuesday, Al-Alimi urged citizens in areas under Houthi control not to respond to the group's mobilization campaigns. He emphasized that the only option for Houthi elements is to lay down their arms and take advantage of the opportunity for safe return.

Al-Alimi's statement came during a meeting with senior military leaders, including the director of his office, Major General Ahmed Al-Akili, and other top commanders. The meeting reviewed the latest developments in the "Dawn of Yemen" operation and the victories achieved by the Yemeni armed forces, military formations, and popular resistance in several battlefronts, with significant support from the coalition backing the legitimate government.

The meeting included briefings from Defense Minister Major General Taher Al-Akili and Chief of General Staff Major General Saghir bin Aziz on the military operations, the situation on the ground, and the level of readiness and coordination among various forces and formations to implement approved plans. Al-Alimi praised the victories achieved by the Yemeni armed forces and their high level of bravery and efficiency in managing the battle.

According to the briefings, the "Dawn of Yemen" operation is progressing according to its objectives and approved plans. The Houthi militia's attempts to push more recruits to the front lines will not change the course of the battle but rather reveal the extent of their depletion and ongoing need to compensate for their human and field losses.

Al-Alimi reassured the Yemeni people that the armed forces and military formations are fighting with determination and strength on various fronts. He emphasized that their progress and steadfastness confirm that the initiative is now in the hands of the state and its armed forces, on the path to ending the coup and the long-standing humanitarian suffering.

Al-Alimi specifically praised the commanders, officers, and soldiers stationed in the front-line positions, who are making the greatest sacrifices in defending the republican system. He also paid tribute to the martyrs of the armed forces, security, and military formations, and wished a speedy recovery to the wounded, affirming that these sacrifices are the foundation of the victory that all Yemenis aspire to.

Al-Alimi expressed his appreciation for the comprehensive support provided by the coalition backing the legitimate government to the Yemeni armed forces and people. He stressed that this support represents a continuation of the brotherly stance in support of the Yemeni people, their legitimate leadership, and their aspirations for security, stability, and peace.
