Dakar, 2 Oct 2026 - WE! Fund, a subsidiary of the Strategic Investments Sovereign Fund (FONSIS), has signed two investment agreements with Mayawa Agro-industrie and Amar Bio Solutions. The agreements are worth 1 billion CFA francs. Mayawa Agro-industrie, based in Touba, produces mineral water, while Amar Bio Solutions, based in Sandiara, specializes in ecological cleaning and hygiene products.

The investments are expected to create nearly 200 direct jobs. Mayawa Agro-industrie will acquire a new automatic bottling line, increasing its production capacity. The company plans to create 160 direct jobs, with over 50% of positions filled by women. Additionally, Mayawa Agro-industrie will develop a basin for surrounding villages to reuse water for agricultural and livestock activities.

Amar Bio Solutions will use the funds to install automatic production lines with a capacity of 5,000 liters per day. The company will produce disinfectant gels, liquid soap, detergents, bleach, and other products. The investment is expected to create around 40 direct jobs. Amar Bio Solutions aims to accelerate production and commercialization of innovative hygiene solutions based on plant-based active ingredients.

According to Amina Lome Amar, Managing Director of Amar Bio Solutions, the WE! Fund investment marks a significant milestone in the company's development. The funds will enable Amar Bio Solutions to strengthen its innovation capabilities and presence in West African markets. The company is committed to providing eco-friendly hygiene solutions.

Seynabou Ndiaye, Director of WE! Fund, emphasized the fund's role in supporting Senegalese enterprises. WE! Fund provides necessary resources for companies to increase production capacity, structure growth, and create value and jobs in Senegal.
